Rekindling Love and Life

Let's look after ourselves and each other..

This whole day is dedicated to self healing..!!

Just to do all the simple little things that can lighten our life in these tough times..

It started as days of lockdown,  turned into weeks , months and now its going on in years. With these lockdown and days of isolation , many of us feel we are completely uprooted from our normal happy life's routine. Along with our day to day lives , our relationships are also disturbed and are not taking the actual growth curve as they suppose to be.

I wholeheartedly wanted a whole day for myself or I can say a whole day for ourselves. It also reminded that it is not only enough to just look after ourselves but we will have to look after each other too..

Somewhere I read that , As our mental and emotional wellness improve, so do our relationships, and our communities.

I want to give a day off to our lockdown routines and take an extra care of mind , soul and the body.
Being with my busy husband and getting hardly couple of days in a month to spend together, I badly wanted this day.

This day is completely dedicated to re kindle the love and support that we usually share and rejoice its presence.

Well , I am not an early riser and prefer sleeping for a little long time in the morning. My husband wakes up before me , goes to gym and completes his perfect morning exercise.
On this relaxed beautiful morning , I wake up to this beautiful sunshine , the green grass fields and the distant large hill - a beautiful view from my balcony.

A glass of detox water flavoured with honey and lime extract to boost up my body and mind.

A warm drink for Vicky as he comes back drenched wet after the workout. We like to spend time in kitchen and I have to say , he is a perfect helping hand at the kitchen table. He makes my work very easy and interesting with the food and the dishes.

For a few days now , we have decided to have some healthy breakfast with salads , veggies , sprouts or fruits. I have organized a little bit in my kitchen for the salad and sandwich making with the fresh veggies , greens , sprouts and other dressings that is required.

Red Cabbage , Cucumber , Carrots , Tomato , Onions , Lettuce and Celery chopped and mixed together with olive oil , lemon extract , black salt , cumin powder and a pinch of chat masala.

We are not fitness freak but would always want to be one. With some mild songs over the background ,  we had our breakfast happily. A quick round of cleaning the dishes , house and sorting the spillovers for the next half an hour. Vicky went to the shop to get some Mutton as he totally loves Non Veg food and I love cooking them for him. I am not a person who loves cooking as a routine habit but I will be totally into it when it is for family and friends and when it is especially for him.

After a warm shower , this is usually my coffee time , probably I would call it Milk time. Hot Milk flavoured with a pinch of turmeric and cardamom. I took possession of one of the most favourite spot in my home. Ofcourse it is the most favourite place for everyone at their homes. The sofa , TV and the remote with no disturbances around. I had this 30 minutes for myself , with cozily stretching my legs and watching my favourite songs and clips.
I dont watch TV regularly , its always once in a while but I enjoy a lot when I do it.

The man who went to the shop is back with a bag full of grocery. We quickly sorted and put them in the respective places. Well , my helping hand is in action now. Chopping the mutton and cleaning them carefully, picking up the required onions , tomatoes , ginger and garlic..

We had fresh peppers rightly picked straight from our Kolli Hills and I wanted to use them primarily to  make the authentic pepper mutton curry. I love playing my hands with the dishes in the kitched on a relaxed day. That is one of the most loving work to do. As I was cooking , we were talking some long pending topics that we dint find time to discuss.

We had a plan to go to Kerala this week where my husband's brother recently shifted. Due to the rise in Covid cases and the lockdown rules , we were not able to do . So we made a video call to Akka and Mama and had some nice talks pulling each others leg. As the mutton started cooking , I also made some lauki dal sabji for myself on the other side.

Our simple Lunch : Rice , Mutton Curry , Rasam , Curd , Lauki Dhal , Pickle and some snack to add on
We both love to sit down on the floor , comfortably arrange all the hot dishes , chit chat and have food.

Take a taste , Come join us , Life is so endlessly delicious.

We decided to watch 'Plan B' movie for the afternoon along with lunch. Followed by a big afternoon sleep..

We got up in the evening , refreshed , gobbled some fresh fruits, nuts and hot chai.

Went for a walk down in our apartments. Ours is a morrocan styled building and has a cool walk area with dim yellow lighting. We talked and walked around the pavement and sat for a while in the beautifully crafted sit-area by the side of the swimming pool.

Walked back home , prepared some fish fries for Vicky and Dosa for dinner.
Now we are all set with theatric effect in our room. We both love watching movies and have made a projector and speaker set up in our bedroom.
VAAZH movie on the WALL - a perfect movie to end our RELAX-DAY..

The theme of the movie being - The people we meet have the power to change our lives.. Ofcourse He did.. ❤

We rekindled our Love Life and just got some positive vibes to run the routine race again..
HOW ABOUT YOU..🙂
