Amudhan's Milestones

Amudhan's Annaprasannam

Our Kutti Kuruvi is growing fast and we are nearing our 6 months milestone. We planned to give his first solid meal in Guruvayur Temple, The  Choroon Vazhipadu. Sentiments on one side and Travel Craves on the other side made us to put up the plan for the Guruvayur Trip.Almost 15 months solely dedicated to the little one , we were not allowed for a chance to travel long. Our little one is a sweet bubbly kiddo and enjoys every short trips that we used to take often. With a good list of items to be packed for the trip, our car's boot space was half filled with Amudhan's thingies. May  18 2018 : We started from Cuddalore at 4 o clock in the morning as we were  skeptic  about our Kutti Kuruvi's behaviour in the long travel. So this is our route .. Cuddalore-Salem-Coimbatore-Thrissur-Palakkad. With mild talks and a stop in between  we travelled through the highway. Masala Cheese Toast

Masala Cheese Toast is a crispy snack for a chilling eve. Ingredients: Onion -1 Tomato -1 Green Chillies 2(finely chopped) Capsicum 1/2 Carrot 1/2 (grated) 3 tbspoon corn(boiled) Turmeric powder Chat Masala 1 Teaspoon Chilli powder 1/2 Teaspoon Crushed Pepper 1/2 Teaspoon Tomato Sauce Bread Butter Cheese Method: 1. Spread butter over the bread and toast it till it turns golden 2. Heat oil in a pan, add onions and fry till golden. Add tomatoes and fry till it becomes mushy 3. Add  Capsicum , corn and the grated carrot and mix well till everything is perfectly blended 4. Add turmeric powder,chat Masala,salt and mix it well till all the veggies are cooked 5. Add tomato sauce and mix it well.Garnish with some coriander. 6. Heat a pan and place the toasted bread. Spread the masala and grate cheese over it. Cover the pan with the lid and leave it for 2 mins in medium flame until the cheese is melted Serve hot cheese masala toast with ur favourable sauce. ...

White Sauce Pasta

A simple recipe for white sauce pasta with an authentic taste. Ingredients: 1 cup pasta 4 to 5 cups of water Salt (Req) Garlic (3 pods finely chopped) 1 cup veggies chopped(carrot,beans,capsicum,green peas) For the white sauce: 3 tbspoon butter 2 tbspoon maida 1 cup milk Chilli Flakes(dry chillies can be cut into small pieces) Pepper Powder(crushed pepper) Method: 1. Boil water with required salt.Add pasta into boiling water until it is 3/4th cooked.  2. Pressure cook the cut veggies with correct amount of water. 3. Heat a pan in low flame, add butter , when it melts add garlic , maida and keep stirring for 1 to 2 mins 4. Add milk and keep stirring continuously for 4 to 5 mins till you get a creamy mixture 5. Add crushed pepper,chilli flakes and salt to taste 6. Add the cooked pasta and the veggies and mix it well. Check taste and add salt and chilli flakes as per requirement Serve hot pasta with tomato sauce.
